State Senator Kimberly Zurz was appointed to the Ohio Senate in September 2003 and reelected in November 2004. Since her beginning days in government, as a former Legislative Liaison/Administrative Assistant for the County Treasurer, Zurz has understood the importance of being involved in the governmental process. Senator Zurz has never been one to stand on the sidelines – she is committed to making a difference as a public servant.
In the Senate, she is a strong advocate for the people of the 28th District, particularly in the areas of creation and promotion of new jobs and industry, as well as ensuring that schools have the funding they need, and teachers and administrators have the support necessary to get the job done. Now at the state level, Zurz sees improvement to the connections and communication between local and state government as the cornerstone to making government more responsive to people’s needs and improving their quality of life.
